The Saints should keep him.

The New Orleans Saints now have some cap space.

The front office has maneuvered the salary cap once again, and moves are being made. New Orleans has just over $16 million in space as of right now.

With a small portion of that money, the Saints should bring back defensive back P.J. Williams.

Williams has spent his entire career with New Orleans. As a role player in the secondary over seven seasons, Williams has been useful for the Saints. The veteran provides experience at safety and cornerback, mostly in the slot.

The best season of his career was in 2021. He totaled 42 tackles and three interceptions during that season.

Williams was solid when used as a rotational piece last season as well. Williams would provide depth at a low price in case anyone in the secondary gets hurt.

He can be a backup for Alontae Taylor, Marshon Lattimore, and Paulson Adebo at CB. At safety, he can backup Marcus Maye and Tyrann Mathieu. Williams knows Dennis Allen's system very well.

Accordingly, if the Saints can figure out a good deal for the team and Williams, they should jump on it.
