The Detroit Lions' rushing attack was one of the more effective attacks last year and a lot of the success was due to the versatile running back room.

Part of said room was RB3 Craig Reynolds, a former undrafted free agent that was on his third team in as many years when joined the Lions in 2021.

Reynolds has since found a home, however, and he'll play his third consecutive season in Detroit after Monday's news.

Per KPCR2 Houston's Aaron Wilson, the Lions re-signed Reynolds to a new deal. Terms haven't been disclosed yet.

Reynolds proved effective when he played in 2022, racking up 102 rushing yards on 23 carries and 116 receiving yards on nine receptions. He did as much while playing just 116 snaps in 2022, which was around 19% of the Lions' offensive snaps.

Re-signing Reynolds is actually pretty important since Jamaal Williams -the Lions RB that led the NFL with 17 rushing touchdowns in 2022- and Justin Jackson are heading toward free agency. There's certainly a chance one or both players could re-sign with the Lions, but that's obviously not guaranteed.
