It may be a one-and-done situation for one of the Buccaneers’ better players.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost two starting guards right around this time last year in Ali Marpet and Alex Cappa. Fortunately, the team was able to trade for veteran guard Shaq Mason in order to fill one of the voids.

Mason had a solid season with the Buccaneers and locked down the right side of the offensive line with Tristan Wirfs next to him.

But, based off a recent report from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Mason could be on his way out of Tampa.

According to Fowler, the Buccaneers are exploring trade options. That's not the full extent of the situation, either. There's a possibility Mason becomes a cap casualty if a trade can't be worked out.

It's another potential blow to a rebuilding Buccaneers team. The Tom Brady Effect has a completely different meaning these days, as the franchise is doing everything it can to work its way out of the massive hole his contract put them in.
