The Cincinnati Bengals are re-signing free agent linebacker Germaine Pratt.

Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Pratt is signing for three years, $21 million.

Pratt, a third-round pick from the 2019 NFL Draft, has started 54 games for the Bengals, mainly from the last three seasons. He entered the starting lineup in 2020 and has slowly progressed into a starting-caliber linebacker.

2022 was by far Pratt's best year as a Bengal. He ended up with 99 tackles, 10 passes defensed, two interceptions, and a crucial forced fumble on Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce. Pro Football Focus grade him out at a career-high 78.4 overall defense grade. PFF had him at 87.2 in coverage.

Most Bengals fans remember Pratt for sealing the franchise's first playoff victory in 31 years. His interception on Derek Carr in the final seconds of the game advanced the Bengals to the second round of the postseason for the first time since 1991.

Now entering his fifth year, Pratt will stay in Cincinnati as an ascending player in a solid defense.
