On Tuesday, the NFL ushered in its new league year, meaning all the coaching hires made throughout the initial part of the off-season were made official. Meaning, the Seahawks will have six new faces on the coaching staff this year.
The offensive staff stayed relatively unchanged. Greg Olson takes over as quarterbacks coach for Dave Canales, who become Tampa Bay's offensive coordinator in February. Seattle also hired Robbie Picazo and Donovan Jackson as offensive assistants.
Olsen will serve as a quarterback guru of sorts. He has more than 20 years of NFL experience as a coordinator and position coach. Olsen has worked with Drew Brees, Jeff Garcia, and Derek Carr. And recently, he worked as an offensive assistant for the Rams.
Now, Olsen has an opportunity to team up with Geno Smith, who recently received a three-year contract extension to stay in Seattle.

Defensively, Seattle is bringing in Roy Anderson, who holds 20 years of coaching experience, to coach the secondary after Sean Desai left to become the Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator.
Brandon Jordan parachutes into Seattle after coaching at Michigan State. He will be a pass-rush specialist coach.
Additionally, several coaches received new titles, including Karl Scott, who will now be the senior defensive assistant. DeShawn Shead now will be the assistant defensive backs and cornerbacks coach. Lastly, Will Tukuafu will transition from defensive quality control coach to defensive assistant and defensive line coach.
