Today has been a weird day for the Philadelphia Eagles on the news front.

The Brandon Graham news was exactly what the team needed with Super Bowl potential still on the line, but there were some strange reports regarding Pro Bowl corner Darius Slay.

Speculation began when Dianna Russini reported that the Eagles gave Slay permission to seek a trade.

Many wondered where the bad blood stemmed from, especially given what this team has been able to do alongside Slay, but it seems like fans can at least find some peace in Slay's words on the subject.

Rather than playing the situation and speaking cryptically on the topic, it was impressive to see Slay approach the topic up front and make his desires clear.

Slay wants to stay, and the Eagles would be silly to move on from such a talented player that wants to be on their team.

Still, one has to wonder where this sentiment cam from in the first place. This news did come out of the blue, but perhaps the Eagles want to clear up some space.

Hopefully they end up looking in a different place to save money. Darius Slay isn't a good place to start.
