The details are in for New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones’ four-year, $160 million contract.

The deal comes with a $36M signing bonus and $104M total guaranteed. Jones will receive a $500k roster bonus if he’s on the roster on the fifth day of the 2026 league year. It also comes with $500k per year in workout bonuses.

Here’s the breakdown of Jones’ base salaries:

2023: $9.5M (fully guaranteed)
2024: $35.5M (fully guaranteed)
2025: $30M (guaranteed for injury at time of signing. If he’s on the roster on the fifth day of the 2025 league year, $11M is guaranteed for skill and cap)
2026: $46.5M

There’s also up to $5M per year in playing time and playoff incentives and up to $5M per year from 2024 to 2026 in playing time and playoff base escalators that top out at $17.5M max. There’s also up to $4M per year in individual achievement incentives and up to $4M per year from 2024 to 2026 in individual achievement base escalators that also top out at $17.5M max.

Jones’ cap hit in 2023 will be $19M. He's the seventh-highest-paid quarterback on a per-year basis at $40M per season. He's set to have the fourteenth-highest cap hit among quarterbacks in 2023.
