The Tampa Bay Buccaneers aren't in a great position to say no to many players that actually want to play in Tampa right now.
Sure, there are some bright spots on this team, but it seems far more likely that the next year is going to be an uphill battle based on last season and the departure of Tom Brady.
That doesn't appear to be stopping former Buccaneer Pro Bowler Gerald McCoy.
Despite the Bucs clearly taking a step back, McCoy appears to hint to his desire to return to the team that drafted him in this Twitter post and his comments in the thread.
Obviously ambiguous, McCoy coming back to the Bucs does make some sense for both sides based on where they are at.
McCoy needs to find a way back on the field with any team that will take him at this point, and the Bucs do need help on their defensive line.
Is it the most likely move on the planet? No, but perhaps the Buccaneers and Gerald McCoy can find a way to make this work for a minimal contract and a depth role if there is interest from both sides.
