The New Orleans Saints are excited to add defensive lineman Khalen Saunders to their defense. He provides some impressive run defense upside on the inside of the DL.

New Orleans needed that after a disappointing rushing defensive performance a season ago. Over the past half decade, their run defense has been something they have hung their hat on, and they need that back.

Saunders is one of a handful of depth additions on defense for the Saints so far in free agency.

Not to mention, they signed QB Derek Carr and RB Jamaal Williams. They have added impact talent, while also keeping around proven players like Juwan Johnson, Malcolm Roach, and J.T. Gray.

Compared to some other teams in the NFC, they have avoided losing major talent and added useful depth.

Regardless, Pro Football Focus gave them the lowest grade in their division for their moves so far.

Saunders clearly felt like that was a miss by PFF and had to let that be known on Twitter.

It is a bit mind boggling for the Saints. They have absolutely lost less top-end talent during this off-season compared to Tampa Bay.

The Saints have also maneuvered the salary cap to add more talent than the Bucs so far in free agency.

The moves by Carolina are probably comparable to New Orleans' as well. The Falcons have clearly spent the most to add talent during free agency so far in the NFC South.

This take by PFF wasn't a good one, and a new guy in town for the Saints found it comical.
