Kenneth Walker III has the talent to have a long NFL career.

In 2022, the Seattle Seahawks' then-rookie running back burst onto the scene after former starter Rashaad Penny went down in Week 6 with an injury.

His production earned him a credible argument for Offensive Rookie of the Year, rushing for 1,050 yards and nine touchdowns.  Nick Shook at NFL.com explained that Walker earned an “explosive score” of 90, tied with Jaguars running back Travis Etienne for the second-highest in the league.

Let's take a look at how they breakdown Walker's game:

“He led all rushers in top speed reached with the ball in his possession at 22.09 mph, tied for third in gains of 10-plus yards over expected (15), and hit 20 mph on four carries on the year (tying for fourth in the category)… Oddly enough, Walker didn’t exceed expectation often, but some of that is a product of Seattle scheming and blocking its way to an expected average of 4.2 yards per Walker carry.”

Walker is the clear-cut No. 1 running back on the Seahawks' depth chart. Through the draft, the Seahawks brought in UCLA running back Zach Charbonnet, and later in the draft the organization selected Kenny McIntosh out of Georgia. Still, the running back is Walker's position to lose. And it is no surprise that because of his talent, he is viewed as one of the most explosive running backs in the league.
