The New Orleans Saints have high hopes this season. As they should, they will play in the weakest division in the NFC. Not to mention, the NFC is a weaker conference than the AFC when it comes to high-end talent right now, too. They've plugged holes on the roster and are confident in their coaching staff's continuity.

Clearly, one analyst also believes in New Orleans this season. Adam Schein, of NFL.com, broke down his bold predictions for this season. He said that the Saints will secure the top overall seed in the NFC in 2023.

Now, of course, it won't be easy.

Teams like the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, and Dallas Cowboys all have cases to be the projected top NFC team. The Saints have some unique positives headed their way, though. Their schedule is the 'easiest' in the NFL, according to multiple statistics.

As I mentioned before, they also play in the NFC South – a division starting rookie Bryce Young, unproven Desmond Ridder, and veteran Baker Mayfield at QB. The Saints have the most proven QB in the division in Derek Carr, and their skill positions are impressive as well. On defense, they need their veterans to continue to produce at a high level. There's no reason to believe they will not, though.

Regardless, it is still quite bold from Schein. New Orleans has to prove themselves, and Dennis Allen must find success to keep his job. It isn't completely crazy when you break it down, though.
