Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos front office appear to want no excuses for Russell Wilson next season.

The team should improve in almost every category from an offensive perspective from last season. Broncos fans know all too well the trainwreck that was on the field for the better part of the year.

Outside of the improvements to the offensive line in free agency by adding Ben Powers and Mike McGlinchey, the team has focused on adding key weapons to help their quarterback.

In yet another move to bolster the offense, the front office is looking to the XFL in hopes to provide another spark on offense. The XFLs official Twitter account made the announcement that the Broncos were inviting XFL star WR Jahcour Pearson to camp.

Pearson, in the announcement, is also receiving an invite from the Seattle Seahawks. The talented receiver had spent four years at Western Kentucky before transferring and playing his final collegiate season for Ole Miss. Throughout his college career, Pearson amassed 131 receptions for 1,464 yards and seven touchdowns.

Immediately following college, Pearson went undrafted in 2022 but wound up getting an invite from the New York Jets for their rookie minicamp. This wouldn't be the first time Pearson received an invite as, outside of the Jets, Broncos, and Seahawks, he was able to try out for Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts this spring.

While a long shot to make the roster, the future is in his hands. Pearson dominated in the XFL and is getting yet another shot at his dream of competing in the NFL. Last year, with the Seattle Sea Dragons, Pearson led the entire league in receptions and yards. He finished his season with 60 receptions for 670 yards and four touchdowns.

Ben DeNucci, who was also invited to Broncos camp, has a history with Pearson as the two lit it up for the XFL last season. DeNucci targeted Pearson early and often and their chemistry could bode well for their chances to make the active roster.

With the season inching closer, some very difficult decisions are about to be made.
