Competition is always one of the best parts of the NFL offseason. For the New Orleans Saints, they have a rookie class that they expect to make a major impact in year one. One undrafted rookie is already opening some eyes around the building during practice so far.

Kicker Blake Grupe has been extremely solid so far during OTAs. In fact, he had a perfect kicking day once already for New Orleans in practice.

It's notable because veteran kicker Will Lutz has been much more inconsistent over the past couple of years. He has dealt with injuries, too, so that's extremely unfortunate for him. That being said, the Saints will do whatever helps their football team the most for this season and beyond on special teams.

Grupe can clearly boot it. After a couple of tough, injury-riddled seasons for Lutz, Grupe has a route to securing a roster spot for the Saints. Keep an eye on him.
