Before he committed to football, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was an avid baseball player. And while time has certainly passed since then, it seems like that swing has never faded.
The Bengals took part in batting practice for the Cincinnati Reds Wednesday afternoon, and the quarterback with long hair in a headband took not one, not two, not three, but FOUR deep.
Is there anything he can't do?
Burrow is already one of the best quarterbacks in the game, and has said that basketball was his main sport growing up. Now we know he can step into the batter's box and hit one out of here? Well, maybe not against actual pitching, but still!
Cody Ford did just like his new quarterback and hit one into the cheap seats earlier in the day.
The Reds recently called up Elly De La Cruz from the minor leagues, and the 21-year old phenom is already looking like a generational prospect. The Reds have so badly needed a talent like that, much like the Bengals were desperate for a franchise quarterback like Burrow.
Throw in FC Cincinnati dominating the current MLS standings, and this is as promising of a time for Cincinnati professional sports as ever.
