Seattle Seahawks will claim unlimited miles with the 2023 NFL schedule
The Seattle Seahawks will do a lot of traveling in 2023.
Much has already been made about whether the Seattle Seahawks will catch the San Francisco 49ers this year following a productive free agency and NFL Draft.
But to get there, Seattle will have to travel more than any team in the league during the 2023 NFL season.
The Seahawks will travel 31,600 miles this season, the most in the NFL, per Adam Schefter. Funny enough, the next closest team is actually the 49ers, who will travel 29,958 miles — probably using their American Express for platinum miles.
But jokes aside, Seattle's travel plans are absurd.
Seattle must prove it belongs in elite company during the 2023 NFL season.
Niners' general manager John Lynch admitted that the team he believes improved the most over the offseason was the Seahawks. The schedule released on Thursday gives the Seahawks a chance to prove Lynch's assumption true.
In Weeks 12 and 14, the Seahawks will match up with the 49ers. The late-season meeting could have drastic playoff implications by that point.
Overall, the Seahawks will not only have to travel far and wide but also prove that the team is taking a step forward following a surprise playoff appearance during the 2022 NFL season.
