The NFL schedule release can turn into a heck of an event for some NFL teams. The Detroit Lions aren't as flashy as some of their counterparts, but they were apart of the commotion last night in a big way.
As is the trend, the L.A. Chargers have one of the flashiest releases each year. They spared no expense this year with another anime-inspired video where they took shots at every one of their opponents.
The Lions weren't spared. In fact, the jab at the Lions may have been one of the harshest in the video based on the fact that it is the freshest and players are still facing punishment for the decision to gamble.
Here is the still from the video that focused on the Lions game:
The video was funny and the roasts were generally on point with each team, but this may backfire for a Chargers team that has failed to meet expectations on more than one occasion.
Plus, it is entirely within the realm of possibility that this turns into material for opposing teams to use against the Chargers as fuel.
If there was a head coach in the NFL that could use this and turn it into a benefit for his team, Dan Campbell is that guy to the letter.
The Chargers better watch out now. The Lions were already going to come into that game pretty hot, and there is a chance that this just ups the ante even more.
Also, it may have been smarter for the Chargers to take this jab if they didn't have to face Jameson Williams in Week 10. Do you really think anyone wants to play Jameson Williams with a chip on his shoulder?
