The New Orleans Saints made some waves in the 2023 NFL Draft when they selected quarterback Jake Haener. Haener, like Derek Carr, went to Fresno State. He and Carr had already had discussions before he was selected by New Orleans.
Additionally, Haener quickly formed a relationship with Saints legend Drew Brees. It will be intriguing to see if he can develop into the official starter for the Saints after Carr.
Only time will tell. As for now, he is making headlines for a different reason. The NFLPA Premiere took place this past weekend. Many rookies got their photographs taken for the first time in their NFL uniform.
