The NFL is awarding Green Bay with one of the most exciting experiences the football world has to offer. It has been officially announced that Green Bay will host the 2025 NFL Draft, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

As the smallest market in professional sports, Green Bay be comes just the seventh host since 1964. The event was held in New York City’s Radio Hall for 50 years (1964-2014) and has since been hosted in Cleveland, Philadelphia, Chicago, Nashville, Arlington and most recently Kansas City. The 2024 NFL Draft is headed up to Detroit, Michigan.

The NFL says the draft will be held in and around the iconic Lambeau Field. Despite the town’s small population, there are plenty of major moments in football’s history that featured the Green Bay Packers.

Not only does this announcement carry tremendous weight in the history of the sport, but Green Bay stands to significantly benefit from a financial standpoint. Brad Toll, the chief executive of Discover Green Bay estimates the economic impact to total $56 million in direct spending and $94 million in total impact.

To put it simply, Green Bay is going to cash in.

It’s important to note that Green Bay was the only city in the running to host the 2025 NFL Draft. The vote inevitably passed on Monday afternoon meaning the citizens of Green Bay and football fans around the world can start planning for what promises to be a spectacular weekend in Titletown.
