The Tennessee Vols' 2022 season was incredibly special for several reasons.

For starters, the Vols beat Alabama and Florida in the same season for the first time since 2004.

The Vols also got their first win against LSU since 2005. And let's not forget about Tennessee's dominant win against Clemson in the Orange Bowl.

In addition to those impressive wins, the Vols made sure fans were in a good mood all season in Neyland Stadium as Tennessee went undefeated (7-0) at home for the first time since 2007.

Tennessee hasn't lost in Knoxville since November 13, 2021 when they dropped a game to the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Vols finished the 2021 regular season with two wins in Neyland. That means Tennessee currently has a nine-game home winning streak, which is the fifth-longest streak in the nation.

Only Utah (14 games), Michigan (15 games), Georgia (18 games), and Alabama (20 games) have longer active home-winning streaks than Tennessee.

Here's what 247Sports had to say about the Vols' nine-game home winning streak.

From 247Sports: Tennessee fans set a noise record at Neyland Stadium during last season's win over Alabama, but that wasn't the only monumental win for the Volunteers in Knoxville. Victories against Florida and Kentucky also strengthened the program's best campaign in more than a decade and continued Tennessee's momentum under coach Josh Heupel. Texas A&M and Georgia highlight the 2023 home schedule for the Volunteers, along with an early-season matchup with South Carolina. That's two heightened revenge opportunities for Tennessee in Knoxville.

The Vols have seven home games again in 2023 (they start the season with a game against Virginia in Nashville). Their first real test will come on September 30 against South Carolina. Tennessee also has tough games at home against Texas A&M and Georgia.

Tennessee will also get a chance to end Alabama's 20-game home winning streak this season. The Vols haven't won in Tuscaloosa since 2003 (they came close in 2009 and 2015), but they'll have a good chance to pull the upset this fall. The Crimson Tide don't have superstar quarterback Bryce Young to rely on anymore. With Alabama facing an uncertain quarterback situation, this could be the Vols' best chance to get a win in Tuscaloosa since Saban took over as the Tide's head coach.
