Buffalo, as many of the Bills faithful are aware, is known as the city of good neighbors. The Bills franchise quarterback perfectly exemplifies this way of life by giving back to the community and helping those in need.
While the entire team does a remarkable job of giving back, fans always want to make sure their franchise quarterback is the vocal leader at the forefront. Allen has shown this time and time again. When Buffalo was devastated by a mass shooting, Allen and the team along with all major sports in Buffalo teamed up to give back to the city. When Allen's grandmother died and fans donated over $1M to a hospital in her honor, Allen joined in with his own generosity and has been a routine visitor of Oshei Children's Hospital. There are countless moments where the Bills and specifically Josh Allen have gone above and beyond for the community and its beloved fans.
In yet another example of this, Allen took the time during his busy offseason schedule for an unforgettable moment with a young fan of the team. It's no wonder this brief video has quickly gone viral.
Reportedly, Emma had written a letter to Josh Allen to talk about her sister Sophie who suffers from debilitating epilepsy. Allen wasted no time and was able to meet with the pair. The surprise meeting caught both sisters off guard, luckily cameras were rolling and captured every second of the encounter. Award-winning journalist Kate Glaser provided further detail on the meet-up.
From meeting Josh Allen and getting his signature to stepping on the field with her sister, the franchise quarterback along with the Buffalo Bills Community Relations team once again showcased why Buffalo is known as the city of good neighbors.
With Allen signed to stay with the team for the foreseeable future, we have a feeling there are going to be more moments like this.
