In the NFL, you can never have too much skill position talent. For the New Orleans Saints, they signed veteran wide receiver James Washington last week. That's after adding Bryan Edwards earlier in the offseason as a FA and A.T. Perry in the draft.
Could they add another veteran talent to fill a slot-type of role? There's potential there with Las Vegas WR Hunter Renfrow. Sports Illustrated's Hondo Carpenter believes that Renfrow will not return to the Raiders for this season. “I expect something to happen after June first," says Carpenter.
Trading Renfrow would make the most sense for Las Vegas. They would save a lot more money in a move to get a bit younger at WR. For the Saints, they would add a proven target that has a storied history with Derek Carr. The duo has had legit production.
Keep an eye on it over the next few weeks for New Orleans.
