The rapid climb Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has made from a rookie with a torn up knee to elite NFL QB is far from lost on NFL Media's Ian Rapoport. He's one of the handful of players you want to build a team around no matter who you ask.

"If you say to me like which young quarterback would you like to have, Joe Burrow is one of maybe two, you know, maybe three," Rapoport said on the Mental Game Podcast with Brandon Saho. "He's a rockstar, and as a person he seems amazing."

As a league insider and reporter, Rapoport has relationships with more NFL figures than most people have friends in real life. Burrow not only stands out to him on the field, but in the blunt way he conveys his feelings.

Burrow's honesty and straight-shooting personality while maintaining professionalism and class is rare in today's atmosphere, and it's what captivates Rapoport when he thinks of the Bengals' franchise quarterback.

"He's another truth teller, like I appreciate the guys who just say what they think," Rapoport said of Burrow. "You like it, don't like it, he says what he thinks. And I think that's really cool."

It's what he's always been about. Burrow doesn't hide behind vague words, as he only uses his voice when he feels something needs to be said. His style of leadership has worked wonders in Cincinnati through three seasons, and he'll continue to keep it real for years to come once he signs his first contract extension later this Summer.
