The New Orleans Saints really like their running back room. Alvin Kamara, Jamaal Williams, and Kendre Miller all have different skillsets to provide to the offense this season and beyond. It will be intriguing to see their balance. Miller, a former TCU Horned Frog, was the Saints' third-round pick this year.
The Saints are excited about his big-play explosiveness as well as his receiving ability. He was a gritty runner in college, and they hope that that will transition into the NFL. Unfortunately, Miller is feeling with an injury at the start of minicamp. It's a knee injury for the rookie RB, but the Saints staff is not worried about it long-term for Miller.
Saints RB coach Joel Thomas expects him to be full go for training camp, according to Katherine Terrell.
That's good news for the player and team. Miller is ready to have an impact on the offense, and the Saints may need the depth in a big way if Alvin Kamara is suspended this season due to his ongoing legal case.
Regardless of that, you can never have too many playmakers at RB in the league. The Saints believe that Miller will be one of those for them this year and beyond.
