Is Stefon Diggs okay?
The Bills Mafia was quickly thrown into a frenzy after it was reported that Sean McDermott was "very concerned" at the superstar wide receiver's decision to not attend the first day of mandatory camp.
Since then, Josh Allen and Von Miller have spoken out in support of Stefon Diggs and briefly mentioned how it wasn't football related. However, in yet another surprising turn of events, Diggs has broken his silence… sort of.
This isn't the first time Diggs has made national headlines with cryptic messaging or apparent discomfort with the organization. In fact, Diggs off the field antics has been a hot topic since the Cincinnati Bengals beat them down in the playoffs.
Diggs had a few choice words with Allen on the sideline during their playoff loss. Immediately after, Diggs tried leaving the stadium before being brought back in by the Bills' coaching staff and players.
Since that moment, things haven't felt totally right. While we aren't sure what Diggs is missing camp for, it's not the best look for him or the organization. Could he be unhappy with utilization under Dorsey? Could there be a medical reason for his absence? Does he want more money? We simply don't know.
All that we can do is report on what Diggs or his teammates have said, and it appears that Diggs has spoken. The All-Pro wide receiver quickly went viral with a bizarre message on Instagram, adding yet another confusing wrinkle to the story.
The cryptic message reads "I just be letting people cap. If them lies help you sleep better tell em big dawg."
Again, there is no concrete direction with his messaging, who it could be aimed towards, or where his discomfort lies. One thing is for certain, things aren't looking good at One Bills Drive.
At the end of the day, Diggs not showing up to day one of camp isn't a monster hit to the organization. Now, if Diggs were to show up tomorrow demanding a trade, or simply not show up at all entering week one, then there are bigger conversations that need to be had.
Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs are an elite duo, the sports world will be a better place once this whole situation can get resolved.
