Minnesota Vikings Justin Jefferson contract extension nfl football stats news

Minnesota Vikings superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson calmed the nerves of plenty of fans at Tuesday’s minicamp session.

Jefferson has played out of this world in his first three seasons in the NFL. Though he is still playing on a rookie deal as of now, there is massive contract extension looming.

Many superstars across the league opt to holdout until a deal is reached between the two sides. Jefferson isn’t that type of player, though. Not only did Jefferson show up to minicamp, but when asked whether he would attend training camp he emphatically responded, “Oh yeah!”

It’s clear that Jefferson isn’t all that concerned with an extension at this point, though that could change as time passes. But being present at minicamp is a sign of good faith.

It’s important for the two sides to maintain a healthy relationship throughout the negotiation process. Jefferson, who is set to make $2.4 million in 2023, is doing his part.

With that being said, Spotrac currently lists his market value at $26.7 million per season. Although it feels inevitable that he sets the market the wide receiver position, the sooner the two sides can come to an agreement the better.
