Two Denver Broncos players are doing whatever it takes to get things right this offseason, even if that means moving into the others' basement.

K.J. Hamler has spent some of his offseason with Tim Patrick, but more than he normally would. Sure, teammates always hang out in the offseason, but these two are very close. Hamler lives inside Tim Patrick's basement, but it's nicer than it sounds.

"You make basements sound so bad," Patrick told reporters with a smile. "It's a man cave. He's living nice. Nicer than he was."

This has nothing to do with Hamler's financial situation, as he is set to make at least $1.5 million. This is a contract year for Hamler, so this move is all about doing what he feels is right for him.

He needs to have a huge year, especially with everything he has been through in his career. Hamler has dealt with injury after injury; you can see the potential when he has played. Hamler is a guy the Broncos need, especially if they want to get their offense the way it should be.

The decision was more for Hamler to get into a good routine, and Patrick could help his teammate.

"It was my decision," Patrick said. "I just know how talented he is and how good he is and how bad he wants to be on the field. And I just felt like I'm a good routine guy. And I felt like I just wanted him to get on my routine to help him be able to achieve the goals that he wanted to achieve in the NFL. It always starts with your routine, and if we both got on the same routine, we could help each other out."

Patrick is exactly the teammate you want. This is a serious move, so Hamler really wants to get his career where it should be. This is a big year, too, so let's see if the big decision helped any.
