The New York Giants and Saquon Barkley are, let's say taking a break right now.

But with plenty of time before the season starts to work out any differences, this relationship is likely to continue going strong.

And after Saquon released a viral workout video, that may have just become even more evident:

So while it may have been a simple display of his offseason plan and body, Saquon is pulling on the heartstrings of all Giants fans with his hat or in this case, helmet choice.

Barkley could have easily worked out in a plain helmet, or even put a guardian cap over his Giants one if he didn't want to make it obvious. Instead, he releases a workout video, fully edited with action shots, slow motion, music, and excellent videography for the world to see.

I'm pretty sure that if he wanted to be more ambiguous on the state of impasse with the Giants, he could have been. Instead, this subtle, cryptic message lends credence to a report dating back a few weeks ago from Jeremy Fowler:

"But there is some optimism in that building that hopefully they can come to some sort of agreement," Fowler reported on behalf of Barkley and the Giants. "This is a player that ownership really values as sort of a cornerstone pillar type player coming off a huge year, clearly a top-five running back in the NFL. And so I know the team is also encouraged. Saquon has been in contact with some coaches, he's been in contact with some teammates, they see that as a good sign, so we'll see where it goes.”

So for now the two sides may still be apart, but view it more as an extended vacation as opposed to a breakup. The negotiating may not be done yet and the last jab has likely not been thrown, but I expect Saquon to be in Giants Blue come September.
