Chad Johnson made plenty of headlines during his playing days. With that being said, just because he stopped playing doesn't mean he's staying out of the news.

The I Am Athlete podcast host made waves on Saturday by stating one of the biggest regrets in his 11-year playing career.

Johnson brought fans to their feet on a consistent basis in his 10-year tenure with the Cincinnati Bengals. With six Pro Bowls to his name, including to First-Team All-Pro nods, there is one thing the wide receiver once known as Ochocinco wishes he would have done: suit up for the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I don’t know how to explain it,” Ochocinco said Saturday at Devonta Smith's celebrity softball event, via Chris Franklin of NJ.com. “I like how they call people d**** and s***. There is no fanbase like this. They f****** beat up Santa. Who does that? I fell in love with the city, hearing the stories in the couple of months training with Boots. I wished I would have been able to play here.”

Johnson's unapologetic style of play would have meshed perfectly with the Eagles fan base. His production would have been welcomed as well.

Eagles fans have a reputation for being the NFL's most passionate fan base. So it's no surprise that a player of Johnson's caliber wishes he would have been able to excite the most electric group of supporters the football world has to offer.
