Everyone knows Tampa Bay Buccaneers Baker Mayfield is a fiery and feisty guy at heart and Rodrigo Blankenship, a fourth-year kicker trying out to make the team, experienced that first-hand on Tuesday.

Blakenship was a member of the Georgia Bulldogs team that bounced Mayfield's Oklahoma Sooners out of the first round of the 2017-2018 College Football Playoff. The 54-48 double-overtime thriller saw Blakenship make a clutch field goal that helped send the game to the second overtime, where the Bulldogs eventually won thanks to a 27-yard touchdown run by Sony Michel.

That was Mayfield's last college game and it was obviously a crushing way to end his career. So, it's natural Mayfield still harbors some let's just say, feelings, toward that game.

Sure enough, Mayfield took a playful jab at Blakenship when the two connected on the field during Tuesday's practice:

The ironic part is these two may eventually become teammates. It sure sounds like the Bucs are going to bring Blakenship in to compete with Chase McLaughlin, who is the only kicker currently on the roster.

"He was very productive in the past," Bowles told reporters Tuesday. "We needed another kicker in here – [Chase] McLaughlin can’t kick every day and Blankenship has made some big kicks and he’s made some consistent kicks. Competition doesn’t hurt anybody.”

Regardless – never, ever, change, Baker.
