The New York Giants have a WR corps that is stacked with names.

Whether those names are highly valuable assets or just camp bodies is up for debate.

But one WR that has proven to be viable when on the field, may not be stepping on the Giants' turf come September:

Shepard was re-signed by a regime that owes no loyalty to him, proving the Giants brass likes to do right by their homegrown talent, something that Shepard has been since drafted by New York in 2016.

And while Shepard has looked good as recently as a minicamp, the 30-year-old WR is coming off yet another major lower-body injury and is part of a group that contains a ton of options with similar skill sets.

Shepard did only re-sign for a little over a million dollars on a one-year deal, and fellow slot option Wan'Dale Robinson is likely to miss the start of the season with his own injury, but if the competition level is to the point the Giants hope, Shepard may be the odd man out.
