The New York Giants will need to see their recent draft picks add notable contributions if they are to ascend on an overachieving 2022 season.
Whether it be on offense or defense, no matter how you slice it, first-round picks have to perform.
Well, one former top-five pick is ready to do just that:
Kayvon Thibodeaux, Edge

Thibodeaux didn't exactly blow you away when looking at the numbers he amassed during his rookie campaign. But those that watch the games, know that pass rushing is an art and much more than numbers in the stat column.
Thibodeuax himself isn't even worried about the figures anymore, saying:
“I had a number on it last year, and I figured out that the season is so long that you have to do it by game… If I can make impactful plays like I was able to do and continue to win, I mean, no one will ever remember [that sack total], right? As long as we win, as long as I continue to play well, play for my teammates I think I’ll be good," Thibodeaux told reporters during OTAs.
So a year-two jump feels inevitable for the talented pass rusher. With a full offseason to work on a pass rush plan against experienced tackles, and with valuable reps under his belt, I'm expecting a big season for Thibodeaux, with the numbers to follow.
