The Seattle Seahawks, like every team in the league, have a weakness heading into 2023. Even the Kansas City Chiefs, the defending Super Bowl champions, have their own issues on their offensive line. The Seahawks having a weakness, or a 'red flag,' so to speak, isn't a bad thing.

The Seahawks are coming off of a pretty cool season. No, it didn't end the way most hoped it would, but they ended up getting much further in the process than most thought they would. They traded away Russell Wilson and ended up being better than the Denver Broncos.

Geno Smith had an amazing and magical season, where he led the NFL in completion percentage at nearly 70%. And he was a Pro Bowler. However, that's just the thing; his magical season last year could be the possible reg flag for 2023 because, well, can he do it again? One CBS analyst thinks that's the biggest thing to worry about heading into the new season.

Seahawks: Geno's potential drop-off Geno Smith was a magical story for the 2022 Seahawks, unexpectedly besting predecessor Russell Wilson in his most explosive NFL showing to date. Late in the year, however, his turnovers were an issue as Seattle relied a bit too heavily on his arm. With a new contract and no added QB competition, he's under pressure to replicate his breakout. –Cody Benjamin, CBS Sports

Smith went off last year when no one expected him to. Before the season even started, people had him counted out as well, as a lot of people pegged Drew Lock to be the starter. We see how that went.

Could Smith fall off a bit or even a lot? Yes. We saw Russell Wilson have the worst season of his career, by a lot; an embarrassing season, so anything is possible in this league. However, the Seahawks did a very good job of continuing to put pieces around him to help him succeed.

They drafted Kenneth Walker last season, who was pretty close to being Offensive Rookie of the Year, and then drafted Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Zach Charbonnet this year. They are loaded on offense, and we must remember D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, among others.

Smith is in a good position and will likely be fine, even if it is still something to worry about.
