There's a ton of excitement surrounding Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks as we head into the 2023 season and it's easy to see why.
The offense is loaded with playmakers, especially in the receiver room. The Seahawks already have one of the NFL's best 1-2 punches in D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett and the duo should become even more potent with the addition of rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
If JSN can hit the ground running then the Seahawks' passing attack will arguably boast the league's most effective three-headed monster at wideout. Teams will be hard-pressed to stop the trio and it should lead to big performances on a consistent basis.
So consistent, in fact, that the Seahawks have a good shot at becoming the first team to boast three 1,000-yard receivers with at least three receiving touchdowns in the same season since the Arizona Cardinals did it back in 2008.
This has only happened four times in NFL history. Three of those four teams made the playoffs and one of them -the '08 Cardinals- got to the Super Bowl before losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers in dramatic fashion.
It'll be pick your poison with this Seahawks passing attack and when you add in the fact that the running backs can catch out of the backfield and Noah Fant's underrated presence, it's clear things are poised to take off in 2023.
