Geno Smith is clearly in D.K. Metcalf's corner.
Heading into his second year as the starting quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks, Smith knows that he has to build on what he started in 20222. That means taking his relationship and on-field connection with Metcalf to new heights.
And recently, the quarterback was vouching for his star wide receiver on social media — labeling him as one of the best to ever do it.
The NFL’s official Twitter account shared a clip of Metcalf's 10 best plays from the 2022 season. Smith shared the video with a message of his own.
So far, Metcalf has totaled 306 catches, 4,218 receiving yards, and scored 35 touchdowns in his career.
He made the Pro Bowl in 2020.
There’s still plenty of time for DK to fill out his trophy case, however. He just turned 25 and should be able to cash in with another major contract. And given that Smith loves to throw the deep ball, it is clear that the two will be a formidable one-two punch for at least the next two seasons to come.
