Per FOX Sports' Greg Auman, former Buccaneers starter Demar Dotson has been charged with first-degree misdemeanor battery after he slapped a woman in the face.
Per Auman via the arrest report, Dotson got into an argument with an unidentified woman and he slapped her after the argument escalated. She slapped him back and he subsequently responded by hitting her with a closed fist, which knocked her to the ground.
The hits left a one-inch laceration on the victim's face and a black eye.
Dotson was also ordered to surrender all firearms while the case is pending.
The ex-Buc played 11 seasons in Tampa Bay and appeared in 130 games, including 106 starts during that time. He was part of the team's unfortunate postseason drought and was a member of the Denver Broncos when it ended with a second Lombardi in 2020.
Dotson is now retired.
Are Buccaneers and Jarvis Landry a fit?
The Bucs need depth at the wide receiver position and Landry can provide just that.
