After a recent rankings list, Denver Broncos fans will only be happier and happier with the biggest offseason change made in the league.
2022 was bad, but somehow, knowing the last seven years have been equally bad makes everything worse. The Broncos went from Super Bowl champions, on top of the world, to the bottom in an instant. The last time they had a winning season was in 2016. It has been dark ever since, including the four different coaches they have had.
The Broncos had one of the most important offseason moves to make in the entire league this offseason. They had to find a coach who was capable of turning their franchise around, and it would appear they found that guy that they think can in Sean Payton.
That move made a lot of fans happy, as it should have. But, what will make fans even more happy, is knowing they have one of the best coaches in the league; at least, that's what Ross Tucker of The 33rd Team thinks.

Payton has turned around franchises before. He did it with the New Orleans Saints, a franchise that had yet to see success before Payton came along. The year before he got there, the Saints were 3-13. The following year, Payton's first, he took them to the NFC Conference Championship game. Then, by his fourth year in the league, he won a Super Bowl.
Payton has done everything the Broncos sought in a head coach, including establishing a culture. Payton is also one of the better offensive minds in football, and we will see that in 2023 with the way they resurrect Russell Wilson's career.
I agree with the fourth-best coach in the league, especially when you compare what he has done to the others below and above him. Seeing this list should only make Broncos fans happier and happier.
