Fans of the Minnesota Vikings are about to receive some viewing material to get them through the summer dead period.

Netflix recently announced a Peyton Manning-produced documentary series called Quarterback. The show will provide "an unprecedented look at what it takes for the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, the Minnesota Vikings’ Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons’ Marcus Mariota to succeed when all eyes are on them," per Netflix

The series marks the first collaboration between the NFL and Netflix.

In anticipation of the release on July 12, Netflix revealed the first four minutes of episode one on Twitter.

The preview begins with Vikings' QB Kirk Cousins reading a book to one of his kids, demonstrating how personal this series will get. Executive producer Peyton Manning provides narration, declaring QB to be "the most difficult position in all of sports."

With QB being such a demanding job, some may wonder why these players agreed to add another layer by filming this show.

Manning explained: “A couple of the quarterbacks early on asked me, ‘Peyton, would you have allowed the cameras to follow you around?’ And maybe early in my career, because I didn’t really know what all that meant, I probably would’ve said no. But later in my career, absolutely, yes. I told Patrick, ‘You’re going to want your kids to know what you used to do, what you really went through.’ ”

For fans of HBO's Hard Knocks, the new Netflix series should be a hit. It's not often we get a peak inside the homes of these star players.

Vikings fans, will you be tuning in? Episode one is available on July 12 on Netflix.
