Dalvin Cook will no longer be suiting up for the Minnesota Vikings. The Pro Bowler was released in June after six seasons with the team. 

The Vikings have not been shy about entering a "competitive rebuild," so solid veterans like Cook, Za'Darius Smith, Adam Thielen, and more have been shown the door. 

However, Cook is still fulfilling his promise to Vikings' fans even after his release. 

Dalvin Cook hosts an annual youth football camp in the Minneapolis area. In 2022, Cook promised the kids that he would return no matter what in 2023. 

Per Jessica McDaniel of the Celebrity Sports Academy, Cook will do just that.

Our client, Dalvin Cook, will return to Minnesota next week to host his Farewell MN Youth Camp in Cottage Grove, on July 21st & 22nd. He made a promise to return last summer to the kids & is keeping his promise, despite being released from Vikings.

Cook's Farewell MN Youth Camp will be held in Cottage Grove, MN on July 21st and 22nd. Any young fans in the Twin Cities who want to say farewell to the star running back will get their chance to do so. 

This is a classy move from the veteran, as nobody would have blamed him for not wanting to remain in Minnesota for a camp. However, it doesn't seem like Cook and the Vikings' organization have any bad blood, with head coach Kevin O'Connell stating that he "holds Dalvin in the highest regard." 

Cook has yet to sign with a team for the 2023 season, but the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets have been the most heavily-rumored suitors.
