The Denver Broncos are switching things up this offseason, and it isn't just the staff and some new players. They are changing their approach too, as they should consider everything that transpired last season.
We know that April 11th, Tuesday was day one of phase one of the Broncos' offseason workout programs, which includes meetings and conditioning.
But, we have yet to hear from Payton or the players publicly, meaning no press conference, no videos, no highlights on social media, nothing. That is the difference between these offseason workouts and last year.
“The work has started. I kind of use this term, ‘A little bit more anonymous donors this season,’” Payton said of his offseason rules. “Just know that we’re working, but with a little bit less visibility on social media and all those other things. We’re going to get to work, and ultimately, it’s how we do in the fall [that matters].”
Sean Payton knows what he is doing. This is a head coach that turned the New Orleans Saints franchise around and even won a Super Bowl with them. He is an elite coach in this league and will do things his way.
We can only assume the players will be much more ready for the season when things kick off in September.
