The San Francisco have one of the NFL's best wide receiver duos in Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, but that shouldn't stop them from adding more wideouts if the right situation arises.
That may be the exact situation with former first-round pick, Laquon Treadwell. Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the 49ers are meeting with Treadwell on Tuesday with the idea of potentially signing him.
The Minnesota Vikings drafted Treadwell with the 23rd overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft and he never caught on. The 49ers will be his fourth team in as many years if things pan out on Thursday (or a later date), with his most recent team being the NFC West rival Seattle Seahawks.
Treadwell has recorded 110 receptions for 1,126 yards and five touchdowns on 175 targets over the course of his seven seasons in the NFL. He's appeared in 76 games with 23 starts.
The former Ole Miss Rebel would come in and compete for the 49ers' WR4/WR5 job and could even end up as a member of the practice squad. Don't expect much from him if the 49ers end up adding him to their roster.
