It's extremely tough to predict what the Buffalo Bills will do in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

That's mostly because the Bills have the No. 27 overall selection, which means there will be a lot of scenarios that play out before Buffalo makes their pick.

Earlier this week, Bills general manager Brandon Beane spoke with reporters and he might have given a big hint about Buffalo's plans for the draft.

Beane admitted that he doesn't have many first-round grades on players this year.

The seventh-year general manager wouldn't reveal how many first-round grades he has on players, but he said it's "not great".

Beane then went on to say that it's much more likely that Buffalo trades down than it is that they'll trade up.

It sounds like the Bills probably have their eyes on a couple of players that they hope fall to them at No. 27. And if none of those players fall, then Buffalo will trade out of the pick.

This won't be a situation (at least based on Beane's comments) where Buffalo takes a player at No. 27 that they don't have a first-round grade on.

The Bills are fortunate to be in a position where they already have a Super Bowl-caliber roster in place. They can afford to be picky with the No. 27 overall pick — they don't necessarily have to land an impact player.

This year's first round is setting up to be one of the wildest yet. There should be plenty of trades that go down and the Bills could be right in the middle of the action.
