At this point of the NFL off-season, reports are flying around constantly. The New Orleans Saints are a bit hard to read entering this year's NFL Draft. They can go in a lot of different directions, and some will be more exciting for fans than others.

A recent report from ESPN's Jordan Reid may not give the best vibes to fans of the Saints.

Reid says that TCU guard Steve Avila may be high on the board for New Orleans. Reid says that some league sources believe that Avila is higher on NFL teams' radars rather than the mock drafts as of late. They could see him going to the Saints at 29 or the Dallas Cowboys at 26.

Avila had a solid performance at the Senior Bowl, and some teams, including the Saints, value that higher than others. He has requisite size for an interior OL player in the NFL. His movement skills were on display at the Senior Bowl as well.

“With Avila, the lack of consistent options on the interior and a strong showing at the Senior Bowl helped boost his stock. I’ve heard that Dallas and New Orleans are two teams to keep an eye on with Avila.” — Reid

That being said, the Saints have a plethora of bigger needs than depth on their IOL right now. Avila will most likely not be the top overall value on the board at the time of their selection, either. Fans probably would not prefer seeing the TCU offensive lineman with the teams first pick.
