It’s always fun to see professional sports teams crossover to support one another. That’s exactly what happened on Friday night when members of the Minnesota Vikings were in attendance for the Minnesota Wild’s Game 3 win over the Dallas Stars.
The Vikings did more than just show up to Xcel Energy Center. Led by T.J. Hockenson, the Vikings sent four beer-chugging tight ends decked out in custom-made Wild gear to support the hometown hockey team.
Joining Hockenson was Nick Muse, Johnny Mundt and the newly signed Josh Oliver. The Wild’s video board director deserves credit as well, because the crowd turned into a frenzy when the party-going tight ends were put on the big screen.

It’s a great time to be a Minnesota sports fan. With the Wild and Timberwolves currently playing in the postseason, the North Star State could easily see four teams make the playoffs. The Minnesota Twins sit atop the AL Central while the Vikings aim to win back-to-back NFC North titles.
Having Minnesota’s biggest sports stars take time out of their day to support other teams vying for championships is special to watch. Hopefully playoff success is contagious and rubs off of on the purple and gold when the NFL’s 2023 season kicks off.
