The New Orleans Saints aren't primarily in the news when it comes to the Aaron Rodgers trade. Rodgers is headed to the New York Jets in a trade involving quite a bit of draft compensation. The Saints and Rodgers met in 2021 while he was on the Green Bay Packers, though.

As of now, it is widely believed that Rodgers will retire after the next two seasons in New York. That's not set in stone, but Rodgers even admitted that he has been considering retirement earlier this off-season. For the Saints, they dismantled Rodgers and the packers in that 2021 matchup by a score of 38-3.

It was the season opener, and New Orleans dominated from start to finish. Rodgers finished with 133 passing yards and two interceptions. Saints QB Jameis Winston completed just fourteen passes, but five of them went for touchdowns.

New Orleans dominated the ground game and the clock. They ran for 171 yards in the matchup. Their defense allowed just 229 total yards and forced three turnovers by the Packers.

The Saints won't see the Jets in the regular season in the next two seasons, so they seemingly got the final laugh versus Rodgers.
