Well, it took until the second round, but the Seattle Seahawks finally added a pass rusher with the No. 37 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Derick Hall is coming to Seattle to make an immediate impact as a pass rusher on a defense that was in desperate need.

He now joins cornerback Devon Witherspoon and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba as part of the Seahawks' rookie class that will come in to compete on a team that plans to push for the NFL Playoffs again.

Hall's calling card is his leadership. But. he is a ball hall when he can be. He's a hard hitter, tackling with anger. And on paper, he represents exactly what modern NFL teams are looking for in the edge rushing position.

But that doesn't mean he is perfect. Scouts probably would’ve wanted to see more quarterback pressures from him in college this year. And the injury he sustained against Alabama will cause some concern. Additionally, once the ball carrier gets away from him, he’s not going to be able to catch up once the play is beyond the linebacker’s area.

He racked up 146 total tackles and 19.5 sacks in 40 career games with the Tigers. He also forced five fumbles and recovered one.

He will, no doubt, be a difference-maker for Seattle moving forward.
