Brad Holmes and the Detroit Lions are staying very busy in the 2023 NFL Draft. After already trading back in the first round and then trading up in the second round, the Lions have traded back again from the 55th selection with the Kansas City Chiefs.

This is another good move by a Lions team that is trying to do as much as possible to stockpile picks where it can. After making two picks already in the second round, trading back to gain some more compensation in some later rounds is far from a bad idea if they like someone that is dropping.

Don't expect for this to be the last move by the Lions either. They have already shown that they are more than willing to make moves to add picks or secure their guys, and with several more priority picks happening between the next two days, these chances will keep presenting themselves.

Trading back here if they believe their guy will fall makes perfect sense. It already worked once in the first round. We should all trust that it will probably work again in the second round.
