Alright, we aren't going to get too ahead of ourselves on seventh-round picks. These generally boil down to undrafted free agents with priority in most circles, so it is hard for the Detroit Lions to go wrong here.

After a great overall draft that was able to address a lot of needs and put the team in a good position to compete for the playoffs, the Lions rounded out their draft with UNC wide receiver Antoine Green.

Green is the definition of a seventh-round wide receiver. There is obviously some upside in his game, especially as a guy that can run in straight lines and get deep very well, but expecting that skillset to grow and then turn into something that meshes well with the current Lions offenses is a lot to assume.

The rookie out of UNC looked good during his final season and was able to make some big plays at a semi-consistent pace, but a vertical passing attack isn't exactly where the Lions want to live with so many players that are great after the catch.

Green might put together a good camp and start the season as one of the depth guys with a need remaining at wide receiver due to the Jameson Williams suspension, but Green is more likely a practice squad player when the Lions are at full strength.
