One of the Kansas City Chiefs' biggest remaining needs this offseason is at wide receiver.

The Chiefs lost JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman in free agency and they haven't made any major additions.

For now, the top four options at wide receiver on Kansas City's depth chart are Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore, and Justyn Ross.

Tight end Travis Kelce is obviously the centerpiece of the Chiefs' offense, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes could still use some improved options at wide receiver (especially with Toney's injury history and the lack of experience from Moore and Ross).

On Tuesday, Kelce appeared on "Fescoe in the Morning" and he was asked about Kansas City's need at wide receiver.

Kelce offered a diplomatic answer in response.

"Well, we got a whole lot of talent in that wide receiver room right now," said Kelce. "And obviously I trust (general manager) Brett Veach, Coach (Andy) Reid, [and] the entire front office. When it comes to bringing the right people in — and I'm not just talking players, I'm talking on the business side of things too — they bring in the right people and make it fun to be able to work with. And it makes it fun for, you know, waking up every single day and coming into work. And with that being said, I just trust Veach and everybody to make this team the best team possible."

Kelce's answer might have been diplomatic, but it's full of truth. He absolutely should trust Brett Veach and the rest of the front office.

Veach, who took over as the Chiefs' general manager in 2017 and has been with the team since 2013, has helped build multiple Super Bowl rosters in the last few years. If there's anyone that deserves trust, it's him.

There's no doubt that Kansas City needs another wide receiver. But fans should follow Kelce's lead and trust that Veach will make the right decisions.
