The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing more firepower to their coaching staff.

They are hiring former NFL linebacker and top-five draft pick Aaron Curry to be a linebackers coach for their defense.

Curry is just 36 years old. He was a highly-sought after defender in the 2009 draft, but his career in the NFL lasted until just 2013.

Since then, he's had multiple coaching opportunities at multiple levels of football. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Charlotte. He coached the team's defensive line from 2015-2018.

After that, Curry joined the Seattle Seahawks as a coaching assistant.

Now, he will coach outside linebackers for the Steelers. It's an exciting, young hire for a defensive staff in Pittsburgh that continues to improve.
