CBS Sports recently named one free agent that each NFL team should prioritize this offseason and they went with an interesting choice for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jordan Dajani, an NFL writer for CBS Sports, thinks the Bucs should try to sign San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

From CBS Sports:

With Tom Brady opting to retire, the Buccaneers need a new quarterback. I think they should eye a veteran to come in and serve as the distributor for an offense that still has plenty of pieces to be relatively successful. Derek Carr will probably be in consideration too, but I wonder which player between he and Jimmy G will be more expensive. The Buccaneers' cap situation is one of the worst in the league, so Jason Licht should chase the more inexpensive of these experienced signal-callers. Could Brady's former backup finally replace him under center? Time is a flat circle.

With Tom Brady retiring, the Buccaneers definitely need a quarterback this offseason.

And since they likely won't be involved in the Aaron Rodgers sweepstakes, Garoppolo or Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr would make the most sense.

Garoppolo will likely be the cheaper option, but Carr might be the more dependable option (Carr has never played fewer than 15 games in a season during his nine-year NFL career).

A lot will depend on who the Bucs hire as their new offensive coordinator. With Todd Bowles being a defensive-minded head coach, the new offensive coordinator should have quite a bit of input when it comes to identifying Tampa's next starting quarterback.
